Split Enz have to be my favourite band of all time. If you don't know Split Enz, you might know there related family, Crowded House, Tim Finn, Neil Finn or Enzo/ She Will Have Her Way: The Songs of Tim and Neil Finn. If you haven't heard of any of them, you have been living under a rock and need to go and buy one of their albums NOW!
Split Enz started in 1972 when Phill Judd and Tim Finn were in high school. They entered in a tv talent quest, New Faces and didn't win. After playing gigs all over NZ, they got signed by Mushroom Reacords. After 11 albums, countless lineup changes, including Neil Finn (Tim's younger brother) replacing Phil Judd after the "Second Thoughts" album and many number one hits- the best known- Tim's upbeat "I See Red" and Neil's seductive "I Got You."
Split Enz broke up in 1984 but still do one off shows, incuding 2006's Spellbound Tour (which was sooo awsum!).
